The High Peak Trail runs between Dowlow, 5 miles SE of Buxton and High Peak Junction, NE of Ashbourne, a distance of almost 18 miles.

It is important to note that although the track is relatively flat, it climbs several hundred feet between the High Peak Junction and Dowlow (nr. Buxton) at the end of the trail.
Refreshments are available at Parsley Hay, Middleton Top and High Peak Junction (opening times vary).
